Prior to working with Ms. Susan, I used to think that my dream university was simply just that: a dream. My first year of college I was a conflicted student who had no interest in what I was studying in an environment that just was not the right fit for me. This led me to begin the transfer process. At first, I was so overwhelmed, because I didn’t even know what it was that I was interested in studying. From West Coast to East Coast! We live in Maryland and met Susan as a referral through our cousin in California. When we first began the process with Susan, the focus was to help our son to write compelling essays that would tell his story of an engineer in the making. He began receiving acceptances and scholarship offers, and the focus soon changed from essay writing to interviewing for scholarships. During the waiting period, Susan continued to follow up on his progress. We were especially pleased with the mock interviews to help him prepare for his Skype interview. A week later after the interview, he was offered a four year full-ride scholarship to one of his top choices.  We are extremely grateful for her support, patience, and guidance in this college process.

Susan worked with our son to transfer him from a school that wasn’t meeting his expectations. While at first our son was skeptical, after a few sessions Susan had him motivated and working. Within a six-month period, Susan worked with him to identify schools that he was interested in (including one that was #1 on his list but he didn’t think he stood a chance of being accepted). Susan worked with him to create a compelling application, essays, references, etc. Before we knew it he had been accepted into his top two schools (including the one he didn’t think he could get into) and was in a position to choose where he wanted to go. Since transferring our son has blossomed. He is so happy at his new school, achieving great grades and has secured a paid internship. Susan has been a blessing for us and will do the same for any student that has the opportunity to work with her.
